How to Add Overlays in Windows Movie Maker

What is Overlay

Video or movie overlay is a moving video that can be placed on a clips to add various appearances, such as light leakage, movie noise and smoke. Windows Movie Maker provides dynamic flame, photo frame, flag frame and viewfinder,  you can easily add them to your PIP track. 

How to Add Overlays 

1. Apply your videos and images to Timeline. Then, click "Overlays" after clicking "EFFECTS" button.

2. Select one overlay you want to add into your video. And click "Add to Timeline" to add it.

3. Click the "Play" button to check the performance.


Remove Overlays 
To remove overlays, right-click the overlay and select "Remove", or select the overlay and click the "Rubbish bin" button.
