How to Record audio in Windows Movie Maker 2022

Follow the steps below to record audio from a microphone that's connected to your computer. 

Step 1: Open the record mode

Select the video and click the icon of "Microphone" on the menu.The audio recording windows will open in a workspace.

Step 2: Record audio setting

In the Audio capture device box, choose the microphone or the device you want for sound recording. 

Depending on your audio card, this option may be named differently. Some device manufacturers do not contain a system audio recording option.

Step 3: Record

Click "Start" to begin recording. As you record sound, you can see the frequencies reflected as color bars in the center. 

When you're done, click "Stop" . If you need to record more audio clips, simply repeat this step. 

The audio files will be showed at the single record track.
