How to add a freeze frame in Window Movie Maker

You can freeze individual frames in a movie to make it look like time has stopped. You can also edit the duration of the frozen frame, or delete it and return the clip to its original length. 


Create a freeze frame in a clip

1.In the Timeline, move the playhead to a frame in the clip you want to freeze45.jpg

2.Click the freeze icon and it will automatically add a frozen frame of 3 seconds at the playhead position. The freeze-frame of the clip contains no audio. 

Edit or remove a freeze frame

  • In the timeline, you can change the duration of the frozen frame by dragging the right edge of the freeze frame.Or, you can move and copy to another track and location.

  • To remove a frozen frame, right-click the frozen frame, and then select "Remove".
